Born Family Christmas Tree 2009

Welcome to my new blog. The purpose of this blog is simple… to spread Christmas cheer. I’ve loved Christmas for as long as I can remember. I love everything about it from the twinkling lights and cheery music to the yummy baking and delicious meals shared at family gatherings. But most importantly, it’s a time to celebrate Jesus’ birth and I like to stretch it out as long as possible.

Some people may think it’s a bit early to launch a Christmas blog, but I take my cue from Starbucks. And as of November 2nd, it’s Christmas at Starbucks, therefore it is not too early to hop on the Christmas train. In all honestly though, I’ve been listening to Christmas music since mid-October. Speaking of which, I’m loving the new Christmas album by She & Him called A Very She & Him Christmas.

My hope is that this blog will be a resource for Christmas music, movies, decorating tips, gift ideas and recipes as well as general cheer and merriment. I’ll be sharing links, pictures, stories and anything else I come across that will add to the joy and cheer of the season. And if anyone has something they’d like me to share on the blog, by all means, send it my way.

Thanks for checking out my new blog, I hope it brings you a little extra cheer this Christmas season!

    • Nice!! I’d have my tree up too except that we get a real tree so I have to wait until early December…otherwise we’d have a brown, triangular shaped fire hazard in the middle of our living room by Christmas 🙂

  1. Jamie,
Awesome!!!! As of Friday my tree was up too, lol. Pathetic I know, but I just love Christmas too 🙂 can’t wait to see you again 🙂

  2. Clearly we errored (I googled it….it can be used with discretion) with your middle name……but you can pay to change it.
    Jamie Christmas Born….your call…..

  3. My favorite part of the Christmas story is the quote by Linus as he steps up on the stage and reads:”And there were shepherds in the field keeping watch over their flocks by night, and lo, an angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them, and they were sore afraid. But the angel said to them,” fear not, for behold I bring you good tidings of great joy! Today in the town of David a Savior is born!” Thinking about this gives me goosebumps!!
